Song Of The Day: Yes, “Changes.”

You should really give Trevor Rabin era yes another chance.

Song Of The Day: Sting, “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You.”

Cambodia is a weird place. I think that’s why I love it so much. Our last night there we ate at Red Piano in Siem Reap. They were playing this Sting video, Ten Summoner’s Tales, which I have on VHS. I’ve watched this tape countless times. The songs from that record are so good and the band is extraordinary.

I’ve always loved this song. I love the jam at the end.

Song Of The Day: Naked Eyes, “Promises Promises.”

Great tune. Really great vocal.

Song Of The Day: Steely Dan, “Home At Last.”

Back from Cambodia and feeling great!

Song Of The Day: Dead Kennedys, “Holiday In Cambodia.”

Finally got some Intertubes here in the airport.

Here’s today’s song. What else would you expect?

Definitely not a happy song about Cambodia but I love that Jello and the boys brought some awareness to the horrors of Pol Pot.

Song of the day will be on hiatus until I get back.

Song Of The Day: Jane’s Addiction, “End To The Lies.”

I loved this on the first listen. Dave Navarro’s guitars are huge. Perry Farrell’s vocals are as good as ever.

The chorus part is awesome.

Looking forward to hearing the rest of the record in August.

2 For Tuesday! The B-52′s, “Follow Your Bliss.”

Ending Cosmic Thing with, “Follow Your Bliss,” was pure genius. This instrumental is beautiful. Keith Strickland’s guitar melody is so cool. I love how he keeps that surf tone. The BGV’s and keyboards on the songs help lift it. Love this song.

Song Of The Day: The B-52′s, “Dry County.”

I think I’ve been a B-52′s fan since I was a kid, 11 or 12. Back in the days when MTV showed music videos the The B-52′s were on it. Plus they were from Athens, GA and I’m from GA.

I think I went to the University of Georgia for the music scene as much as the education. The film, Athens, GA Inside Out, cemented my desire to go there.

Today’s song is deep cut from their 1989 breakout record, Cosmic Thing. Great tune. I love the arpeggiator on the song.

Song Of The Day: The Cardigans, “Erase And Rewind.”

Great song from a great band.

Nina Persson has a unique voice. I love her vibrato.

Song Of The Day: 2Pac, “Dear Mama.”

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
